           What is the Transcontinental Railway? 

 

The Transcontinental Railway is a railway that went all across Canada, it was built for transportation, defense and last but not least trade. People could travel from Canada East to Canada West easily. Sometimes in the Winter it would be to dangerous for troops to march across ice so the Transcontinental Railway would help them get places incase of an attack. The Railway would help for trade because people could send goods to places through the railway.

  

  

   How did the Transcontinental railway                                affect us?

The railway affected us in many ways, one way was that it would make our transportation easier. it would also keep us less worried about an attack since troops would come through the railway and help us out. It is easier for us to trade since we could transport our goods to otheres quickly. It would also mean that we would have the money to keep our families from starving since they would need people to work and build the railway.
